Designed by studio.psd, HOUSE CA3 is a celebration of material and texture. In this dwelling, warm wood is enhanced by a variety of other natural finishes. Light, gauzy curtains divide the space and create shade whilst still allowing light to play on the subtly textured walls. The wall texture continues onto the ceiling and cupboard doors, creating a comforting consistency, and woven furniture and lampshades lend the space a creative, hand-crafted feel. In the kitchen, deep olive green doors add just a touch of colour, and the clean lines of the storage furniture creates a pleasing contrast with the home’s otherwise organic, imperfect surfaces. Through all of this, the space inspires an appreciation of simple, thoughtful design and natural materials.
