In the 20th century, Japanese and Korean artists started a movement called Mono-ha: an exploration between natural and industrial materials. In Seoul, MO-NO-HA café and its adjoining store is a modern exploration of that movement, designed by local outfit Creative Studio Unravel. The retail space is large and bright with clean white walls and concrete flooring; the low display tables and brushed steel cabinets allowing the focus to be purely on the goods on offer. In the adjacent café, angular communal tables in neutral colours fill the space, with contrasting textured concrete tiles that line the walls.
